The Tribute band MEANSTREAK was founded in September 2007. With a background in the eighties, the band members Jan Marcel & Ebbo started MEANSTREAK as they both were strongly influenced by the classic rock music played by the band Y&T. Arno joined the band in October 2007. After some changes and a short brake Don & Anno joined MEANSTREAK in March 2009. Yesterday and Today was founded in the early seventies. Their band name was taken from a Beatles album. In 1981 the band decided to continue as Y&T. The Y&T album “Earthshaker” was released in 1981 and became the band’s “ real brake through album ”. The Tribute band’s name is related to the 3rd Y&T album title Mean Streak, released in 1983 MEANSTREAK plays mainly songs from the first 3 album titles Earthshake (1981), Black Tiger (1982) and Mean Streak (1983) reflecting the period from 1980 till 1985. MEANSTREAK performs a 90 minutes live gig with the same dynamic drive and spectacular performance we know from Y&T, where the best songs of the band Y&T comes along. With great respect for Y&T, MEANSTREAK aims to keep the songs as close as possible to the originals, just for one reason : What is good should not been changed........With a true state of mind MEANSTREAK keeps the spirit alive from the Classic Rock Legend Y&T
